Cordless Circular Saw Shootout – The BEST Cordless Circular Saw OF ALL TIME! | Hand Tool Shootout

Watch this video before buying a cordless circular saw, this hand tool shootout GOES DEEP on which circular saw is not just the best saw of 2018 or 2019, but the best saw OF ALL TIME!

Quick Correction: Makita and DeWalt do now make smaller form factor batteries that operate as 6ah batteries in the Makita saws, and 12ah/4ah batteries in the DeWalt saw. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Special Thanks to The Home Depot for providing most of the saws in today’s video, and for sponsoring me through the THDProspective. You can find all of these saws at The Home Depot at the affiliate links below.

Perez Woodworks says:

I want that homelite! Not to use, just to display the badassery it puts off! I really like the shoot outs brother, nice job!

L Adam says:

I’m just here to see the gas powered one.

Matthew Gibby says:

When was the last time the homelite got a new blade?

Joshua Metelerkamp says:

Yaaaa don’t got a Skil there…

郭仲哲 says:

病人放的屁.會傳染攻擊性傳染病.該將病人隔離嗎?或者叫病人支付太陽在照健康捐呢?

Will Webster says:

Love the homelite, but since I’ll never get my grubby hands on one uh those I have to say Milwaukee is a damned powerhouse and by far my favorite of the modern tool brands

Edit: so not the most powerful clearly, but they’re near impossible to break if you know how to use a tool right. I knew a guy in the Home Depot tool return who worked there for over 2 decades and never saw a single Milwaukee returned because it was broken.

dcl97 says:

Unfortunately you cant make simple assumptions about runtime and battery capacity when we are talking about tools running on different voltage. Voltage is not current, an 18v tool can draw as much as a 36v or 60v tool, but there will be much more resistance to do so at 18v. The Milwaukee needs 12ah because at 18v there is significantly more resistance, the Dewalt on the other extreme can get much more work done on 3ah because there is much less resistance. There are other variables that determine ultimate runtime of course, so you would have to do actual testing to figure out how they all stack up.

YouCanMakeThisToo says:

Another great shoot out, Rick!

Kevin N says:

There is a 12ah (4ah in 60v) battery out for DeWalt and it does fit in that unit as an FYI.

benrice87 says:

Love the review! I love that Milwaukee.

On the dewalt comment: Batteries in series don’t loose capacity. Think about amps going through the circuit, if you have 1 amp going through a 1 Ah battery at 12V, then you add another battery in the circuit bringing it to 24V, your total battery capacity is still 1 Ah. Cheers!!!

Tool Craze says:

The Dewalt will fit the 12amp battery and the Makita 5.0 and 6.0 batteries are the same size and they are releasing the 6.0s within the year

marvin benjamin says:

Can’t wait till Milwaukee brings out their worm drive we will see who have muscles

Dwarf keeper says:

13:24 And this is a big butt

3ountyhunter ftw says:

HTR sent me here. You gave really great video quality!

Alex Morris says:

Anyone else a little annoyed at how the homelite from HTR was treated?

Thalles Valle says:

Oh, thanks for the video and congratulations for the whole idea!
I subscribed to your channel to follow up the good content, but if you allow me to say a few words, that might provide further brainstorming insights for your next video.

Well, i’m from Brazil and everyone (sorry you might thing that i meant: A LOT OF PEOPLE, and no, it is EVERYONE) here, cares just about one thing: PRICE.
After finding a reasonable price, they seek design, then, safety, then time of workability
Then, how “strong” the cutting power is, and more important, once more, the price of the Cutting Disks for that specific model, and also, if it comes into a suitcase!

So, i would consider (since you mentioned the battery time) recommending, adding a sheet, with:
Price of each product
Your personal thoughts of the security of each product
The battery life (as you did)
And also, cut timming (even considering that almost everyone has their own technique to use a tool)

And then, compilate all these info’s into this sheet, to provide the viewer a whole vision of an overall things relating to all the Circular Saws you’ve tested.
There is a channel that always does this, and it is Project Farm, if you don’t know him, please consider to watch it, in order to see this comparison….it is very good for COST vs BENEFIT idea.

And thats it, i hope your channel grow fast, due to the high quality material!
(ps: english is not my main language, so i might use some wrong words)

Jim Feaster says:

Good video…

J T says:

had no idea homelite was an old brand. makita makes a 6 amp batt.

Mike DEEZ says:

I keep looking for the cord before I cut!!! Lol

Jim Feaster says:

Dewalt blows the others out of the water….

Tim LaFaver says:

Excellent video son! Great edits! Awesome breadth! Keep it up!

Rami Nieminen says:

You are comparing run time (which you did not even test) of different voltage tools based on the batteries amp hours? You should compare watt hours, not amp hours. That is a rookie mistake which I think anybody who makes a cordless tool review should know. The video was very frustrating to watch, slow motion just does not always work and the music was freaking loud (and horrible). Leave tool reviews to Toolbox Buzz, they know their stuff, and stick to woodworking videos as they have always been fun to watch and they have even teached me a few things.

Cole Wyatt says:

As a true red blooded Milwaukee fan boy……The Homelite takes it all. That thing is COOL!

MrSubaru1387 says:

Makita does make 6.0Ah batteries. Have for quite a while.

dan vesa says:

This is a home depot commercial, if you’re testing sawa for ALL TIME Best, we’re is the bosh, Hitachi, Porter-Cable, my point is not enough saw brands to label it ALL TIME! This is a joke!

Tyler Sineath says:

No flexvolt sidewinder?

Aaron Fuller says:

I wish he did an all out guts out test on these… to see witch one is made to last the best!
